The Hunters are to hunt for food and let the fire going and Jack promised to keep the fire burning but he left to hunt the pig and he was searching for one cause he want to face his fears.
He painted his face because he was hunting the big and Jack Camouflage so the pig want see him. This failed because of Jacks jealousy as a chief. When he is elected as leader he gets a little bit more power and gets more aggresive. Everyone on the island likes him but he stays away and goes to his secret bower in the forest to be alone.
Jack wanted all the hunters to go with him to catch the pig. Ralph does not bears the failures of the responsibility in the group, when jack took his group of hunters for hunting instead of them watching over the fire, Ralph was angry, because that was the chance the could have been rescued, and finally went home. I would personally not bear my groups failures because their committed to doing a duty or a job in my personal opinion. Ralph also admits that the only one that is helping him and doing his role is Simon because they together put up huts or shelters.
Jacks personality has developed during his stay on they island because he became a more violent person seeking in the future to catch and kill a pig. Instead of building a shelter and helping Ralph he has the addiction of finding and killing the pig for its meat, so that the rest of the group can eat, but in my opinion he could just help the group by helping the little uns get fruit for the group.
This shows an act of violence from Jack. When both jack and Ralph were arguing, Simon goes away getting fed up with this ridiculous argument. He is also very helpful because he helped Ralph build the huts or the shelters, which the other boys did not do their job and they were goofing off, and Simon also helped the little uns get the fruit on the tree which they were so little they could not reach. Roger throws the stones near at Henry and not directly at him because he knew if something happened to Henry, he had the protection of his parents, police officers and the law.
If you throw a stone at someone it is going to tend to hurt the person, and for roger directly hitting Henry, he is committing a crime of assault.
Basically Henry is protected by the law and roger does not want to get into trouble of committing a type of assault or crime to another person; he is playing around in a peaceful way throwing stones or rocks near the diameter where Henry is.
Jack caused the hunters to get off their duty of watching over the fire, he tells them to lineup so that they can get their faces camouflaged. As a result of the hunters left their duty, the group of children could have been rescued because a boat has been spotted from the horizon, and if the fire kept on going producing smoke the group of children would have been out of the deserted island once and for all. This is a technique used for the military so that the enemy does not spot you and you can remain undetected in stealth, as well in hunting so that the animal does not spot you, and that will help you get you catch your pray.
As result of this technique of camouflage that jack used he successfully caught a pig, and brought food back to the group.
Ralph does not bear any of the responsibility for the failures of the group to achieve its goals. The reason why is because 2.
Jack begins to become more and more savage. After that little taste of power, Jack wants more and more power. Simon is a good kid. Jack paints his face because he uses the paint as a mask to hide him from the truth if he made a mistake. Yes because he was off trying to catch a pig for food but never did he come back with one, even though he tried, he never came back with the pig and they need meat to survive.
He was told by his parents not to do stuff like that. He is obsessed with the idea of killing a pig so he camouflages his face to go to the jungle to hunt,. Yes he does because he is the leader, and the leader has to make sure everything is done properly. Jack has turned very mean and violent. He now picks on the little luns and Piggy.
Simon is care free guy. He is very nice to everyone on the island and does not bully the other children around. Roger does not throw the stone directly on Henry so he will not do anything to hurt him. The hunters neglected the fire because they wanted to go and hunt pigs to kill.
Jack paints his face so he can blend in and hunt for the pigs. Yes, Ralph criticizes the boys for their lack of cooperation, but does not bear any of the responsibility for the failures of the group to achieve its goals. This failure to bear any burden of responsibility appears to reflect on his role as leader.
A leader is rarely the perfect candidate for the job; however, to remain in power, he must take the focus off his own shortcomings or risk being unseated. I believe that Ralph was simply trying to keep himself in control of the group through his actions and words. That Simon was a good boy. The reason why Roger does not directly hit the young boy is because of the boundaries he has been taught.
Although they are out on their own, Roger still carries the morals, laws, and customs with him. Jack is a savage. He is the extreme of Simon. Ralph does take responsibility for the failures of the group beacuse he a good leader. What causes the hunters to neglect the fier is beacuse they wanted to go hunting to kill a pig. Jack wants to paint his face beacuse he wanted to feel more hunter like. He kills the pig he wanted to kill. Ralph criticizes the boys for their lack of cooperation but he does not bear some of the responsibility for the failures of the group to achieve its goals.
He is trying to make it clear to the other boys that they should be serious when it comes to building shelter. At the beginning of the story Jack was afraid to kill the pig the first time. He was also afraid to take more action. During his stay on the island he becomes more fearless and his confidence grows. He becomes more determined to accomplish all of his wants and desires.
Simon is different from most of the boys. Simon is shy and tends to usually stay away from the others. But Simon is also nice because he helps the younger boys find fruit.
Simon can also be known as an conservative person. He begins to throw stones, but he just throws them near him instead of directly at him because he wants to remain careful enough to avoid actually hitting Henry with his stones. The hunters, who had promised to keep the fire burning, neglect it and allow it to go out. The reason why is because Jack wanted all the hunters to go with him to catch the pig. He needed enough people to go with him to help kill it.
Jack paints his face to help him hide in the bushes that way he can hunt for pigs. He is basically camouflaging himself. He also does it to allow his wild and ferocious side to come out more. HIs personality became more violent during his stay on the island. Simon is a sweet boy that is very peaceful. The cause of the hunters to allow the fire to go out because they killedc a pig.
Jack painted his face because he was proud of himself that he killed the pig. Ralph does bear some responsibility for the failure as his obsession with being popular overcomes him and he resorts to bullying Piggy to regain his power. Ralph represents good intentions in the implementation of reason, but ultimately fails to execute these plans.
Rather than be reasonable, and logical he decides to become something of an animal leaving behind everything that civilization has taught him. Since there is no adult supervision. Simon is a quite boy who keeps to himself a lot. He still restrains himself. The hunters let the fire go out so that they can go hunting to provide food.
He does bear some responsibility because he is the leader. He should be more forceful on the groups to complete their goals. Instead of just telling them to do it and not even try to get them to help. Jack is starting to be more violent and taking the role of Ralph. He is letting instinct overtake him. Simon is a kind boy and helps people when they need it.
He keeps to himself and he likes to be around nature. They allow the fire to go out because the planned a way to catch the pig and they needed more hunters. Jack paints his face because he says its dazzle paint. Its so he can camouflage in his surroundings. If he feels the others are not cooperating, he should tell them to do so. He is responsible for them. Jack has become more aggressive. He argues with Ralph a lot. He has become obsessed with the idea of killing a pig, so he seems like a madman.
Simon is strange, different from the other boys. Roger does not want to hurt the boy. He thinks of how parents, school, policemen, and the law protect the child.
Simon is quiet but he is still needed to help around the island. The hunters were involved in hunting instead of keeping an eye for the fire. He paints his face to show that he is a warrior like in the old days. In a way he does take responsibility for the failure of the goals because when Jake asked him why no one helped, he stayed quiet.
He was the leader, the one to make the kids do things, but did not say anything when they went to play. Jake was like a human, a kid with manners but later in the book he starts turning into an aggressive boy. He is crawling around with mud in his face trying to kill a pig aggressively. Ralph refers to Simon as a boy that is weird or strange. How Simon acts is funny to him yet odd.
Maurice was careful not to throw it at Henry because he knew that if he hit him he would get in trouble like before. The little kid was protected by the police and parents that would get him in trouble. The hunters let the fire go out because Jack told them all to go and help him hunt for the pig. Jack paints his face to camouflage in the woods so when he is hunting the pigs they do not see him. As the leader he did take some of the responsibility as he was in the position to make sure everyone did what they were supposed to 2.
He becomes more savage and aggressive 3. A shy nice guy 4. To scare him and not hurt him 5. They had been hunting for pigs 6. He is becoming more savage and embraces his role as a hunter. Jacks personality has drifted from a short tempered youth to a rash impulsive boy. Simon is a weird boy. Jack causes the hunters to neglect the fire, he convinced to go hunting with him.
Jack pants his face to camouflage himself. You are commenting using your WordPress. You are commenting using your Google account. You are commenting using your Twitter account. You are commenting using your Facebook account.

When Piggy shrilly complains about the hunters' immaturity, Jack slaps him hard, breaking one of the lenses of his glasses.
Jack taunts Piggy by mimicking his whining voice. Ralph goes to Piggy to use his glasses to light a fire, and at that moment, Jack's friendly feelings toward Ralph change to resentment. In chapter 5, Ralph attempts to discuss how to approach the possibility of a beast on the island, and Jack begins by criticizing the littluns for their irrational fears.
He once again uses the conversation about the beast to bolster his authority and might by mentioning that he will kill the beast if it does exist. For yards round the fire the heat was like a blow, and the breeze was a river of sparks.
The heat from the initial flames is "like a blow" which is to say it is like a wind current. A tree exploded in the fire like a bomb. This simile does compare the tree not the flames to a bomb. He is eager to make rules and punish those who break them, although he consistently breaks them himself when he needs to further his own interests.
His main interest is hunting, an endeavor that begins with the desire for meat and builds to the overwhelming urge to master and kill other living creatures. In chapter 2 , the boys attempt to start a signal fire at the top of the mountain and fail. When Jack begins to ridicule Piggy, Piggy takes the conch and tries to speak over Jack. Jack responds by saying, The conch doesn't count on top of the mountain.
Ralph declares that, at meetings, the conch shell will be used to determine which boy has the right to speak. Why does Jack say that they need hunters? Jack reminds Ralph of the pig they found trapped in the vines in the jungle, and Ralph agrees that they will need hunters to kill animals for meat.
How does Piggy first notice a boy is missing , even though he doesn't know his name? Piggy doesn't see the boy with the mulberry-colored birthmark. What causes the drum-roll sound the boys hear in the fire? The drum-roll sound is caused by live trees exploding from the heat of the fire. Piggy is frustrated because he wants more order and hates how the group is acting like silly, disorganized kids. I got the conch, ain't I Ralph? Throughout the chapter , Piggy tries to speak by following Ralph's rule of holding the conch.
Each time he tries, Jack tells him to shut up. Why is Jack unable to kill the pig at the end of Chapter One? Jack could not bear with himself killing the pig. He was afraid of all the blood that would appear when stabbing the pig.
Ever the voice of practicality and reason on the island, Piggy first offers up the notion that a rescue might just be a long time coming. He originally suggests this in an aside to Ralph at the very beginning of the novel. After Jack steals Piggy's glasses to start the fire on the mountain in Chapter Two, it quickly grows out of control. The huge pile of dead and rotten wood "yielded passionately" to the flames, which grew twenty feet in height. Fire also allowed us to diversify our food habits, allowing us to be able to easily breakdown complex molecules and utilize its energy.
The calories we derive from cooked food, is far more than what we would manage on a strictly uncooked diet. That's the circle of fire and life. Why does the boys plan for rescue fail in Lord of the Flies?
