I worked at Talbots for 2 years, at the end I hated going in the management only cared about the customers. Working here made me hate retail. Pros My co-workers cared about each other we helped each other to make it through the day or hours. Cons Low pay, no hours, no insurance and no promotions, no raises, management back stabbed each other. You have a chance to work with some of the most wonderful people and everyone is very supportive.

Therefore people just coming into the company are making the same hourly rates associates that have been with company for over 15 years.

Cons Financial compensation; expensive medical plans. Talbots is all about hospitality to its customers and it mostly shows just as much hospitality to their employees. Management is down to earth and helpful and they do listen to all feedback. But in the end.. So retail hours and retail pay. But if youre going to work retail, this is where you want to be!
